@UrbanTenant I think he had a real crush on her. After watching Conan do interviews for a long time, you can tell when he doesn't really mean it when he "flirts" with actresses. In his interviews with her, though, he really did seem disappointed about her engagement. He dropped a lot of pretty heavy hints about their chemistry and how much he really liked her. It's actually kind of sweet. ;-) His mock yelling of "STAMOS!!!!" into the mic became kind of a recurring bit on the show.
